Finding a Path to Success: Mentorship Award Recognizes Kristy Arbogast, PhD

For her mentorship to young traffic safety scientists, Kristy Arbogast, PhD, co-scientific director and director of engineering at the Center for Injury Research and Prevention and co-director of the Center for Child Injury Prevention Studies at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), was recently honored with the Award for Excellence in Mentoring Research Trainees at CHOP. An internationally recognized bioengineer with a focus on brain injury mechanics, Dr. Arbogast has followed a unique path as a non-clinician at a pediatric hospital who creatively applied her engineering skills to tremendously influence new approaches to improve child safety.
